1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChartCraft ("the Service"), operated by ChartCraft ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

ChartCraft is an AI-powered diagram generation tool that lets users create, edit, and export structured diagrams — including flowcharts, ERDs, sequence diagrams, BPMN, class diagrams, and state machines — through natural language prompts. The Service includes a web-based studio, an AI chat interface, and public diagram sharing.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its underlying systems.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service in ways that exceed normal use.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the diagrams and prompts you create using the Service. By submitting prompts or making diagrams public, you grant ChartCraft a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and store that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

5. AI-Generated Output

The Service uses third-party AI models (including OpenAI) to generate diagram structures. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any diagrams before relying on them for business, technical, or other consequential decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, design, and proprietary technology underlying the Service is owned by ChartCraft and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use ChartCraft's trademarks, logos, or branding.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including OpenAI (AI model), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and React Flow (diagram rendering). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the conduct of third-party providers.

8. Availability and Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChartCraft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or profits — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction in which ChartCraft operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
